Kratos offers custom manufacturing and advanced test services to produce and qualify a broad range of products for numerous prime contractors and government agencies. Throughout our history, we have produced electronic and mechanical assemblies for operation in extreme airborne, land-based, and seaborne environments. We have in-house capability for custom metal fabrication, component, and system-level assembly, environmental stress screening and qualification, hardware and software design and development, and custom packaging and shipping. We have designed and manufactured a number of different components and systems to meet MIL-STD-810 for environmental conditions that include high vibration and shock levels, extreme hot and cold temperatures, high humidity, dust, and salt water. Additionally, we have extensive and broad-reaching experience qualifying products that have been designed in-house or build-to-print designs from one of our primes, such as MIL-STD-461 for Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) as well as MIL-STD-217 for reliability.
We have a highly trained and capable staff that welcomes our customers' design, manufacturing, and test challenges. Our skilled engineering and production staff operate from a 51,500 sqft facility that includes a modern paperless and well-organized manufacturing floor. Assemblers have computers at each workstation that are tied into a Local Area Network (LAN) to provide access to the latest revision drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation. The manufacturing floor is arranged in a “cell” configuration, where groups of workstations are organized with the proper tools and equipment to support the assembly of those specific components and/or systems. Our assemblers are well rounded and go through extensive and continued on-going training and cross-training for the latest circuit card, cable, and system-level assembly techniques so that the highest manufacturing standards can be met.
Along with our modern manufacturing facility, we have a well-equipped test department that includes twelve environmental chambers, two Thermotron vibration/shock tables, an EMI Screen Room, an array of standardized test equipment (oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, etc.), and a fully equipped System Integration Laboratory (SIL). Many of our test technicians were formerly in the military, where they gained experience working with the types of equipment we manufacture and deliver to our Department of Defense customers.
At Kratos, we have an experienced design, manufacturing, and test team available to meet the challenges of our customers, and we pride ourselves on delivering highly reliable products designed and tested to operate in environments where failure is not an option.
