Privacy Notice for California Residents
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides California residents with certain additional privacy rights related to the personal information Kratos Defense & Security Solutions and its subsidiaries (“Kratos,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects about you. This notice provides an overview of the information required by CCPA and how to exercise your rights. Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this notice.
Who Does This Notice Apply To?
This notice applies to California residents. This notice does not apply to employment-related personal information collected from California-based employees, job applicants, contractors, or similar individuals. Our privacy notice for job applicants can be found here.
Where noted in this notice, the CCPA temporarily exempts personal information reflecting a written or verbal business-to-business communication (B2B personal information) from some of its requirements.
What Personal Information Does Kratos Collect, For What Purpose, From Whom, And Do We Disclose It To Service Providers?
We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device (personal information). Does Kratos Sell Personal Information?
Kratos does not sell personal information and we have not done so for the 12-month period preceding the last revision date of this notice.
What Are My CCPA Rights And Choices?
You have the right to know certain information about our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information for the 12 months preceding the date of your request. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will disclose to you:
- The categories of personal information we collected about you.
- The categories of sources for the personal information we collected about you.
- Our business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling that personal information.
- The categories of third parties with whom we share that personal information.
- The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you (also called a data portability request).
We will inform you if we cannot respond to all or part of your request because it conflicts with federal or state law, or your personal information is subject to an exemption under the CCPA. At this time, we do not provide access or data portability rights to B2B personal information.
What Are My CCPA Rights To Have Personal Information Deleted?
You have the right to request that Kratos delete personal information that we collected from you, subject to certain exceptions under the CCPA. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will delete and request that our service providers delete your personal information unless an exception applies under the CCPA. At this time, we do not provide these deletion rights to B2B personal information.
How Do I Exercise My CCPA Rights?
California residents may submit a CCPA request by:
Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child. To authorize another person to make a verifiable request on your behalf, you must provide that person with written permission clearly describing their authority to make a request on your behalf. The individual to whom you give such authority must also be able to verify their identity with us and provide us with their authority to act on your behalf.
How Will Kratos Verify My Identity If I Make A CCPA Request?
To verify your identity when you make a CCPA request, we will collect your:
- Name.
- Telephone Number.
- Address.
- Email.
We will use this information to verify your identity using reasonable methods in order to process your rights request. These methods may include matching information you provided to us with information already maintained by us or through the use of a third party identify verification service.
We will use the information you provide to verify your identity and to respond to your rights request and for no other purpose.
We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we are not able to verify your identity or authority to make the request or confirm the personal information relates to you. If we are unable to verify your identity using the personal information listed above, we may request additional personal information that will be used for the purpose of verifying your identity.
What Are My CCPA Non-Discrimination Rights?
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights, which means we will not:
- Deny you goods or services.
- Charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through granting discounts or other benefits, or imposing penalties.
- Provide you a different level or quality of goods or services.
- Suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.
Will Kratos Make Changes To This CCPA Notice?
Kratos reserves the right to amend this privacy notice at our discretion and at any time. When we make changes to this privacy notice, we will post the updated notice on the website and update the notice’s effective date.
