Kratos has a proven track record in Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) system development. Our engineers have developed vehicle automation kits to transform existing fleets of vehicles into “optionally-manned” platforms. The newly automated vehicles can then be tele-op controlled and offer semi-autonomous capability supporting GPS Waypoint Following, Leader/Follower, Obstacle Avoidance, etc. Various configurations of our automation kits and Command and Control systems are currently fielded and supporting test, training, and weapons evaluation missions for the U.S. Army and Navy. These systems are also being leveraged for military combat/tactical applications, including Route Clearance, Logistic Resupply, Facility Maintenance, and Warfighter Support. Additionally, we are now supporting non-military applications for the Road and Transportation industry. We pride ourselves on providing high reliability products and systems fully qualified to meet the challenges of our customers' requirements.
Kratos supports a number of different unmanned sea surface target mission requirements used for Fleet training and weapon system development, in conjunction with the U.S. Navy's System for Naval Target Control (SNTC) and U.S. Army's Army Ground and Aerial Target Control System (AGATCS). Our onboard vehicle automation and C2 systems support a wide range of multipurpose remotely operated seaborne vehicles, which can simulate real world scenarios alone or in concert. Over the years we have been involved in new target development to emphasized littoral threats, missile capable patrol craft, and open ocean targets capable of operating in a variety of real-world sea conditions. Each of the self-propelled targets we support can be remotely operated from our C2 system via line-of-sight using a dedicated radio link or via Over-The-Horizon using airborne radio relays or satellite communication links. Kratos offers world class unmanned vehicle control capability to meet the challenges of our customer requirements.
Kratos developed the Multi-Platform Appliqué Kit (M-PAK) as a system that is easily installed and quickly converts legacy fleets of existing human-driven vehicles into unmanned systems.
