OpsCenter - Unified manager that works across network systems including physical network devices, IP and ultimately RF
Controller - Orchestrator enabling automation and provisioning of multiple virtual network functions
Virtualized Network Functions (VNFs) - Executes all networking processing from the radio to the network switch
Digitizer - Bridges the digital divide, converting RF over IP to VITA 49, a format standard throughout the satellite industry
Compute Pool - On-premise or in-the-cloud resource that can be scalable and shareable

Unified Management of Ground System

OpsCenter manages and monitors multiple events at one time in one place. It minimizes downtime by identifying issues faster and reduces operating costs as it supports the configuration and administration of the entire ground system.

The OpenSpace Controller is the brain center that directs how service chains are deployed to deliver a given service or mission against a defined SLA or Concept of Operations (ConOps). The OpenSpace Controller can automatically spin a service chain up and down hundreds or thousands of times a day to support different payloads, satellites or for different configurations.

Virtualized Network Functions

Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) help increase scalability and agility while enabling better use of resources. With OpenSpace, racks of analog hardware like splitters, combiners and recorders are replaced with virtualized equivalents that operate in virtual machines or generic x86 servers. The VNFs can be sequenced and automated into virtual service chains that are guided by the controller.

On-Ramp to the Virtualized Ground

OpenSpace Digitizers are the bridge to digital transformation and the first step towards successfully leveraging IP networking and cloud adoption. They are game-changing, unleashing newfound flexibility in ground system architecture with abilities to digitize and transport RF signals in real-time without data loss. The digitizers effectively remove the limitations of distance and signal degradation imposed by analog RF. Learn More

Leverage Cloud Infrastructure

Advanced technologies and new, powerful cloud infrastructures make the OpenSpace platform available as a service (IaaS) from providers such as Microsoft and AWS, or a hybrid approach that utilizes on-premise capabilities. Users can run operating systems and applications such as OpenSpace on the cloud without the maintenance and operating costs of in-house servers.
